About

"No great artist ever sees things as they really are . If he did, he would cease to be an artist" (Oscar Wilde )

Claire Brogan is a Artist/ Designer and Educator based in Ireland . Claire has undertaken a journey of developing her practise of fine art/ design and has delved and formed a passion for educating through studying at the National College of Art and Design . Throughout Claire's journey she has developed an enthusiasm and passion for teaching through the gathered experiences of teaching placements , workshops and learning how to live the life of an art educator . Being an art educator has brought great satisfaction to Claire as the joy of seeing a student succeed enables the flame of passion and to quench the words of  "I am not able to do it" in a classroom setting enables a creative  learning environment .

Claire's evolved world as an artist has stemmed from being an experimental and curious child of colour to attending  art classes at an early age which led on to undertaking a portfolio at the Roscommon School of Art . Claire has a passion for painting and experiments with the styles of Imaginary composition and still life throughout her work. Her themes yarn from unspoken truths and thrives on the idea that nothing is ever what is seems. In her later years Claire has explored the skills of photography and now is a photographer for the Irish fashion designer Catriona Hanly . Claire has taking a large inspiration from the experimental filmmaker John Smith and has found that her work echos the voice from her soul.
